For many people from new communities a key barrier to finding a job and integrating into Irish society is that of language. If you are not fluent in English your chances of getting into employment, making friends or integrating into Irish society are severely restricted.
To help members of new communities improve their English language skills Dublin North West Area Partnerships facilitates English Language conversation classes in the Cabra Library with the support of Dublin City Council and the Gateway Project
If you would like to improve your English language skills in a friendly, informal way or simply meet new people while learning English drop into one of our classes.
Classes are also supported by Third Age Ireland under their national Failte Isteach programme and a key component of its success is the dedicated group of local volunteer tutors that have been trained by Third Age Ireland to facilitate the course.
Please Note: Classes are for people living in the Dublin 7, 9 and 11 areas only. Due to high demand for these classes you are now required to phone for availability and be placed on a waiting list.
