Understanding Youth Mental Health Training – September 2016

Jigsaw Dublin City  are delighted to invite you to a free training session to build capacity in frontline staff and volunteers to promote and support young people’s mental health. The session is hosted by DNWAP as part of our Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP)

This one day workshop is designed for those who work or volunteer with young people.  The workshop has been developed by Headstrong: The National Centre for Youth Mental Health and has been very well received by participants from a wide range of organisations who have attended the workshop in other Jigsaw projects throughout the country.

Understanding youth mental health’ (1 day) covers:

  • What is Jigsaw?
  • What is mental health and how does it develop?
  • Adolescence and emerging adulthood
  • The current landscape of youth mental health
  • Signs of mental health difficulty and safety
