This short training course is designed for Community Groups seeking to acquire skills and knowledge which will lay the basis for good practice in financial management. Participants will develop key skills in the following areas:
Preparing income and expenditure reports manually and using excel
Managing receipts and invoices
Preparation of concise quarterly and end of year financial reports

Trainer: Geraldine Murphy Geraldine has 25 years experience in Community Development and Enterprise & Training. She studied Marketing in the College of Marketing and Design and later attained a Masters in Management of Pastoral and Community Organisations from All Hallows College certified by DCU. While working as Manager of the then new Parish Centre in Whitehall she set up the recording procedures for the accounts, staff and volunteer rotas, room schedules and set up new activities for the centre. She worked with the Dublin North West Area Partnership in both Community Development and Enterprise & Training. She was also Enterprise & Training Officer with Rural Dublin Leader Company.
