Dublin North West Area Partnership held its social Inclusion Seminar and Launch on Friday March 4th 2016 in the grounds of Na Fianna GAA Club, Mobhi Road, Dublin 9
The seminar was very well attended by a wide variety of local community groups from across the Dublin North West catchment area.
Attendees were welcomed by the DNWAP Local Development Manager Triona O’Sullivan with opening remarks provided by Phil Kearney, a member of the DNWAP Board and Chair of the Social Inclusion Action Appraisal Committee
Social Inclusion Projects that were supported through the Social Inclusion Programme Fund in 2015 presented their work followed by and question and answers. The seminar was done “Café Style” with attendees moving from one table to another. It was informative and the groups attended were given space to share information about their own organisations and to hear about individual projects. Ideas and tips were shared about and there was a positive vibe throughout the room.
After presentations from 2015 partners the 2016 Social Inclusion Learning Forum was launched and Mary Corridan presented to attendees on the steps involved in joining the Learning Forum for 2016.
The seminar closed with a question and answer session and a discussion on opportunities for further networking.
