Following a successful recruitment day, held in Dublin North West Area Partnership’s Finglas office on Thursday the 18th of December, 22 Young People have secured a place on the Positive2Work Programme.
Positive2Work is a retail skills training course that includes work placement opportunities in Tesco stores. Those that complete the course will receive a FETAC Level 4 award in Retail Skills. Training will take place in Tesco’s training facility in Finglas.
Bill Halliden, Tesco Ireland HR Manager, was delighted with the event and how it was organised by Dublin North West Area Partnership. Bill indicated that it was one of the most successful course recruitment days he had been involved in based on the number of young people that attended and were placed. This in part is down to the work of Dublin North West Area Partnership’s Local Employment Service in preparing candidates.
TAP’s Jobs Club Employment Support Officer, Maria McLoughlin, was on hand to help participants throughout the day and in their interview preparation.
Positive2Work is a collaboration of Dublin North West Area Partnership, the Department of Social Protection (DSP), Skillnet and Tesco.
Dublin North West Area Partnership would like to wish all successful candidates continued success as they take up this opportunity.
